Counselling sessions are typically 60 minutes. However, if 90 minute sessions meet your needs in a more effective way, this can be arranged and the cost adjusted accordingly.

I follow the fees guidelines set by the B. C. Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Vancouver Counselling Fees

Fees are to be paid in full by cheque or cash at the time of each appointment unless alternate third party payment arrangements have been made in advance.

Fees are charged for reports and letters written on behalf of clients, photocopying and NSF cheques.

Registered Clinical Counsellors are recognized by extended health benefits by Great West Life and Pacific Blue Cross. However, your extended health benefits package may also cover the cost of counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I recommend calling your plan provider to ensure coverage and any annual dollar limits.

Cancellations & Missed Appointments

I require full 24 hour notification of cancellation of appointments. Notification of less than 24 hours is deemed a $50.00 charge. No advance notice of cancellation is charged the full session fee. Consideration will be given for extra ordinary circumstances. Please call ahead if you cannot keep your appointment so that space can be offered to someone else.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed and all written records and notes regarding counselling sessions are completely confidential except there are 3 important exclusions:

• Child welfare concerns
• Imminent self-harm or danger to others
• Subpoena or court order
